Dr Knight conducted his PhD on the subject of Hacktivism and Social Movements. He occupies a joint role in the Ethics Support team of the Human Brain Project (HBP), based at DMU, he is the compliance manager for the project - ensuring that all HBP projects are conducted with the appropriate regulatory approval - and he is also a research fellow on the project with a focus on ethical compliance in EU research projects.
