Dr Jiayi Wang is Associate Professor and Acting Associate Dean at ̽»¨¾«Ñ¡. Her research spans intercultural communication, transnational education (TNE), pragmatics, and teaching and learning in a second or foreign language. She has published widely in leading journals and with prestigious academic publishers, including Cambridge University Press, the Journal of Intercultural Communication ̽»¨¾«Ñ¡, Language Learning, and the Journal of Pragmatics.

Jiayi holds a PhD from the University of Warwick, where she specialised in professional (business and official) intercultural communication. Alongside her academic career, she has worked as a senior intercultural consultant for organisations including the Supreme Court, AstraZeneca, Jaguar Land Rover, and Deutsche Bank, and previously served as International Project Manager at the Ministry of Justice.
She has supervised more than 50 PhD, MA, and undergraduate dissertations.
She is passionate about developing sustainable and inclusive international partnerships and enhancing intercultural learning across global higher education contexts.
