Personal profile

My research explores representations of women from the Second World War in film and television and aims to identify the role played by film and television in constructing British female war time identity. My thesis uses film from the period in question and more modern work to map changes over time. My wider research interests include gender history with particular regard to perception and recollection, early modern - modern European history.
